Originally from Washington DC, I moved to "God's Country" in 2002. After graduating from The American University in 1986, I took a job as Dan Rather's runner at CBS. I knew right away I wanted top work in News. In 1987, I was hired by WUSA-TV in Washington, DC as a floor director. For 17 years I worked in television news. I was nominated for seven Emmys and won twice, one for an expose on Nike's influence in high school and college athletics and the other for a series of country music concerts I produced with Gannett television and Walt Disney World.
I left television for good in 2003. The business has changed for the worse. And besides, I wanted to see what else I could accomplish in life.
I always loved radio. My first job on the shore was as the Program and Music Director for Ocean 98. It was a cool job. after a brief stint at the Delaware Wave (the best job I've had here), I ended up at WGMD. Looking back, it was a good job. I learned everything I ever wanted to know about Delaware politics and met some great people.
And before you know it, I'll be back in the medium. But that is for another day.....
